02 — The brief

World-class science, hidden behind closed doors.

Corealis is a CDMO in the Laval Science Park. For more than 20 years they've helped biotech and pharma companies turn new molecules into tablets and capsules, from pre-formulation to clinical supply.

Their reputation was strong. Their problem was visibility. Prospective clients couldn't see the team, the labs or the equipment until after they'd signed, and in a business built on trust, that slows every deal down.

The goal: content that opens the doors early, builds credibility, and helps sales at the moment a client is deciding who to work with.

03 — The approach

Put the people in front of the machines.

(01)

The people you'll work with

A client hiring a CDMO is really hiring its scientists. So the CEO, the head of Analytical and the head of R&D are on camera, and the extras in every lab are real Corealis staff doing their real jobs.

Real science on camera

No pretend pipetting. Every action was planned and validated with the lab ahead of time: tablets dropping into dissolution baths, samples going into the HPLC, the V-blender spinning up, tablets coming off the press.

A cinema look in a regulated lab

Widescreen 2.35:1, vintage Zeiss glass and a full lighting package, inside labs with PPE, no-jewelry rules and work that can't stop for long. The result looks like a film, not a facility tour.

04 — The process

Six weeks of prep. A day and a half in the lab.

In a working lab, there's no room to improvise. Here's how we got from a first conversation to four finished deliverables.

Scope & proposal

We started from the business problem, not the camera. What does a prospective client need to see before they trust a CDMO with their molecule? That turned into four deliverables, each built for a different stage of the sale.

Scripts, together

Corealis's marketing lead wrote the scripts and interview questions. We reviewed every line, then annotated the scripts shot by shot to turn them into a storyboard and a shot list.

The location scout

Two buildings, every lab, module and stairwell, plus the skybridge. We tracked the sun across the facade for the exterior shots and picked the entrance for the CEO interview.

Pre-production

A full production deck: deliverables, crew, hair and makeup, wardrobe, moodboard, schedule and a page for every room. Each lab had a prep checklist and a list of scientific actions validated with the Corealis team.

Cinema lights in a working lab.

The labs kept running while we shot. Every setup had to light a scene beautifully, then pack up fast so the scientists could get back to work.

06 — Where the work lives

One shoot, the whole sales cycle.

(01)

Website & sales

The brand and facilities films do the first tour, long before a client books a site visit.

(02)

Trade shows

Photos licensed for conference prints, booth backdrops and flyers, where CDMOs compete face to face.

(03)

LinkedIn & social

Square cuts of every film plus short CEO videos, made for the feed their buyers actually read.

07 — What happened next

Six months later, Corealis called again.
