Nov 23rd-24th: Mont-Tremblant Photography Workshop Weekend

250.00

Hi all,

Would you like to learn and have an awesome time learning how to shoot beautiful landscapes in Mont-Tremblant? Then this trip is for you. The trip will consist of going up to the beautiful Laurentien mountains of Quebec.

The course will be spent mastering TWO shooting techniques:

A) Shooting long-exposures to capture motion blur in broad daylight

and

B) Learning how to create super-high resolution panoramic images of vast landscapes of Mont-Tremblant.

Here are the details:

Dates: November 23rd - 24th

Departure TimeNovember 23rd, 2018 - 9AM - Pick up at Laurier Metro Station (Exit Laurier - Not St-Joseph!) The hyperlink goes to the cafe right across the street from the metro, so if you’re there it’s perfect.

ReturnNovember 24th, 2018 - 5PM in Montreal - Drop off at Laurier Metro Station

Here is what you're going to need if you want to participate and do some learning:

- A camera - for this workshop, I want to encourage you to bring the camera that you feel most comfortable using, whether that’s a smartphone, a film camera, a DSLR, or the latest mirrorless camera on the market 📷)

- All of the lenses that you have - a wide-angle lens is ideal for landscape and astrophotography - that means something that is 24mm or wider that has a low aperture.

You can rent these at LozeauPhoto Service, or Lou-Cam. Three great rental spots and photo stores in Montreal! 🔭

- A sturdy tripod (if you don’t have one, rent one, they’re cheap!)

- Make sure to bring warm clothes, gloves, boots, warm socks! We will be spending a lot of time outdoors taking photos so this is really important ya’ll!

What does it include?

1) Transportation to and from the destination and cabin

2) Accommodations in a beautiful chalet in Val-Morin, Quebec.

3) The Long-Exposure and Panoramic Photo Workshop - on this workshop, you will learn how to shoot beautiful long-exposure photos in normal and low-light conditions and how to create high-resolution panoramic images which combine up to 9 photos to make 50+ megapixel images that can be turned into huge prints (if desired!)

4) Post-Production of Images! Because we are going to be creating images with unique techniques, we will need to learn how to stitch the photos together in a software like Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop.

For this reason, I would love if all of you had Lightroom Classic CC installed on your computers. If you do not already have it, fret not, Adobe offers a free 7-day trial of this program and we will be covering some awesome editing techniques using this program to get the best out of your photos.

5) Once we’re tired from shooting and editing, we will spend some time just hanging out and having some drinks and relaxing!

6) Food is not included, please bring snacks for the day of shooting on the 23rd. We will be going to eat dinner at Le Baril Roulant in Val-Morin. There are vegetarian options.

7) Drop off at Laurier Metro in Montreal at 3PM on Sunday.

Thanks all! Looking forward to this. Please contact me here or on Facebook for ANY questions or comments you have!

I want to join!
